What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is an independent professional who is in the business of providing ongoing administrative support to business owners. As administrative experts, they can also help you streamline your business and instill systems and processes to improve your workflows and cost-effective operations. An effective VA can organize a calendar, clear out an email inbox, handle web site maintenance, communicate with clients and prospective clients, among many other things.
Depending on the needs of you and your client, you may be on call or you may set your own schedule. As a Virtual Assistant, you are working from your home office for businesses across the world. Your communication with clients may be via email, phone, or instant messaging. Pay ranges anywhere from $10 - $45 per hour depending on experience and expertise. Some virtual assistants may require a retainer upfront depending on the size of the project to be completed.
